The Province of Milan Department of Tourism will be welcoming thecity councils, consortia and associations that work to promote tourism development throughout the region.

The stand will be officially opened at midday on Thursday 18th February by the Hon. Guido Podestà, President of the Province of Milan, and Regional Tourism Councillor Stefano Bolognini.

Over the four days, trade fair participants will be treated to a packed programme of events, kicking off with:

Milan responds to the crisis and reinforces its attractiveness
 
INCOMING TOURISM 2009

How many incoming tourists were there? How long did they stay for?
Hotel accommodation in the City and Province of Milan: establishing the “true figures”.

Thursday 18th February at 2pm
The Lombardy Region stand: pavilion 3, ITALY hall.

Numerous events will be open to the public, including a parade featuring costumed participants of the Palio di Legnano horse race, scheduled for Sunday 21st February at 11am.

In addition to leaflets and flyers offering information about the city and province, at the Province of Milan stand you’ll also find:
- YOU&MI – journal and CD;
- the new-look Milano Mese, tee-shirts and postcards;
- B&B guide;
- a multimedia tourist information desk.


BIT dates and opening times:
Thursday 18th and Friday 19th: admission for trade professionals only from 9.30am to 6.30pm.
Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st: open to the public from 9.30am to 6.30pm.
