     Associazione Castelli e Ville Aperti in Lombardia -Ex Toll-House of Porta Nuova
    The Associazione Castelli e Ville Aperti in Lombardia (Association of Open Castles and Villas in Lombardy) was established in 1997, when certain owners and managers of historical homes open to the public decided to join forces to present themselves as a new and homogeneous tourist and cultural circuit, to help each other reciprocally in promotion, exchanging experiences and inducing other castles and villas to associate with each other and open up their doors to visitors. The Association currently includes 30 residences.

    The Austrian Culture Forum was founded in 1993 and is part of the General Consolate of Austria in Milan.

    This is the first centre entirely dedicated to childhood. One of the most important European collections of vintage toys can be found inside the Museo del Giocattolo e del Bambino (the Museum of Toys and the Child). This collection follows a chronological and thematic route that goes from the 1700s to the 1970s. Here visitors can see dolls, toy soldiers, street games, books, comics and even the first video games. The Teatro del Buratto was founded in Milan in 1975 and is specialized in activities and shows for children and can host up to 300 children. The Bì also has a library for children and creative rooms and laboratories. This two thousand square meter structure was obtained from the architectural renovation of a former cotton mill from the 1900s.

     Casa della Cultura
    Established in 1946 by Antonio Banfi and a group of anti-fascist intellectuals, Casa della Cultura is an association that continues to embrace the values of freedom, autonomy, awareness and tolerance. In October to May each year, the programme of debates, seminars and courses is intense. Subjects covered are philosophy, psychoanalysis, literature, art, editorial news, cinema, media and society. There are discussions on current politics and social issues. Here you can meet and listen to the protagonists of Milanese, Italian and international cultural life.

    Established in 1994 following agreements between the United States Consulate and the Università degli Studi, the Library, which is situated in the Anglistic section of the Department of Language Sciences, contains a considerable collection of volumes in English, microfiches, microfilms, periodicals and repertoires dedicated to the study of the United States: history, art, literature, international relations, political disciplines, social sciences, ethnic minorities.

     Centro culturale Cascina Grande
    The story of the former Zanoletti Cascina at Rozzano, now the Cascina Grande, is that of the large 19th century estates in the "Bassa Milanese". Built in 1881 on the request of one of the major landowners in the area, the Marquis of Zanoletti, the farmhouse stands behind the old centre of Rozzano located on the Naviglio Pavese, 12 kilometres from Milan. It was home to agricultural activity undergoing mechanisation that probably led to the creation of this unique plant in the shape of a V, totally different from the square or rectangular shapes typical of Lombard farmhouses. For decades, the estate was one of the most florid rice production and picking centres in the area.

    A few metres from Piazza Missori, in the historic city centre, a well-organised complex of 17th Century buildings including the Arcimboldi School and the Baroque S. Alessandro Basilica, houses the headquarters of the CMC, in the Halls of which, adorned with stuccos and pilasters, important intellectual and literary clubs gathered during the 1700s and 1800s.

    The Fabbrica del Vapore is located on the former headquarters of Carminati & Toselli, a company involved in spare parts for railways and tramways, converted into a multi-function centre. The structure, an example of late 19th Century industrial archaeology, cover approximately 30,000 m2 used for different entertainment proposals all year long, such as workshops, art exhibitions and cultural events.
  •  FAI - Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano
    The FAI is the main Italian no-profit foundation for the protection, safeguarding and care of Italy's artistic and natural heritage and is the third in Europe after the National Trust in England (our model) and the National Trust in Scotland. The "Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano" (Italian Environmental Foundation) was established on 28th April 1975 at the instigation of Giulia Maria Mozzoni Crespi, Renato Bazzoni, Alberto Predieri and Franco Russoli. They were well aware of how extensive Italian heritage is and that it would be impossible economically for it to be protected by a single government or by a small number of people and so they decided to found the FAI based on the English National Trust model.
