    The FAI is the main Italian no-profit foundation for the protection, safeguarding and care of Italy's artistic and natural heritage and is the third in Europe after the National Trust in England (our model) and the National Trust in Scotland. The "Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano" (Italian Environmental Foundation) was established on 28th April 1975 at the instigation of Giulia Maria Mozzoni Crespi, Renato Bazzoni, Alberto Predieri and Franco Russoli. They were well aware of how extensive Italian heritage is and that it would be impossible economically for it to be protected by a single government or by a small number of people and so they decided to found the FAI based on the English National Trust model.

    GITEC (Guide Italiane Turismo e Cultura) costituita a Milano il 26 giugno 2009 č un'Associazione a livello nazionale delle guide turistiche. Si propone come interlocutore presso le varie sedi istituzionali per rappresentare le esigenze, le proposte e le problematiche delle guide turistiche. Tra gli scopi di GITEC rientrano quello della valorizzazione degli interessi delle Guide e di favorire il riconoscimento del loro ruolo sociale, l’affermazione della figura professionale di guida e la promozione della loro offerta.

    The foundation of the Association dates back to 1947 and right from the outset the main aim was the promotion of reciprocal awareness of the Russian and Italian cultures across every field. This is why our cultural work is so vast and covers so many sectors: teaching Russian and Italian at various levels (including interpreting, business language etc.), conferences, exhibitions, round tables, film festivals, seminars, book lending, conversations, concerts, etc. organised in collaboration with teaching staff from the Universities in Milan and other Italian cities, as well as journalists, artists and Italian and Russian experts from various cultural walks of life. The Association houses a library that includes collections of texts and magazines from various cultural and scientific sectors, a vast video collection of Russian films that is kept up to date, and also offers translation and interpreting services.

    The Association provides cultural services. It promotes knowledge in the sphere of history, art and architecture through a series of guided tours, cultural excursions, conferences devised for private individuals and organised groups: libraries, CRAL (local health unit recreational clubs), associations, school trips and travel agencies. The guided tours are given by qualified experts, professors of history of art, tourist guides with regional permits. The associations provides services in the city of Milan adn in the area of Como, Pavia and Monza.
