Getting around
Like all the other major European cities, Milan also has an efficient transport system: the underground lines allow you to get around the city quickly and cheaply. Unlimited tourist travel passes allow you to move around quickly without having to worry about buying more than one ticket.
If who have the time and want to discover the more hidden away parts of the city, you can still take a tram and enjoy a pleasurable round trip.
For those of you travelling around in the evening, there is a dedicated bus service known as the Radiobus. It is an on-call bus that will pick you up and deliver you to your destination across all of Milan. The service operates seven days a week from 8.00 pm to 2.00 am.
Information about lines and routes is available from: www.atm-mi.it
Milan is also served by the link lines, that is to say a train that connects Milan to other localities to the north and south of the city – both in the outer city and in the Region. The link line crosses the city like an underground system.

Milan’s taxis are white and every vehicle has its own distinctive number. Information about hire rates is available from notices displayed within the vehicle.
A convenient alternative to traditional transport is the car pooling, consisting of sharing a regular or occasional journey using privately owned cars, so as to considerably reduce traffic and pollution.
Last, but not least, you have the option of Car Sharing or using BikeMI. These two revolutionary methods of moving round the city, already operating in other European cities, combine practicality and convenience with respect for the environment and the air that we breathe.
Getting around Milan is therefore not a problem. All you have to do is choose the form of transport that is best suited to your needs!
