The journey takes us on the axis which goes from Milan to the Malpensa airport. The first great settlement close to Strada Statale del Sempione, a historical artery which arrives up to Lago Maggiore and Rho, ancient village now mostly known because of the Fiera Milano (Milan Fair).
Advancing forward we come to a heavily urbanised area, at the junction of Milan and Varese, historically famous for being a centre renown for the textile and cotton industry, made up by the City of Gallarate and Busto Arsizio (in the province of Varese) and Legnano. The latter’s past is tied to Franco Tosi, a mechanical company which dates back to 1876 and which was one of the main producers of boilers and steam turbines. Amidst villas and old factories you reach Parco del Ticino, with exquisite villages where you can still breath the air of tradition and good living.
