Between Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese, south of the region capital, one finds an area rich with water and tangible signs of an area dedicated for agriculture. It is a protected area called Parco Agricolo Sud Milano, which combines the protection and preservation of the environment with the defence of agriculture and of all its economic implications. The scenery is typical of the Paduan plain: artificial canals, rice-fields and a fertile countryside alternating with towns and new productive quarters.
