Would you like to be a Tourist Guide, Courier or Travel Agency Manager?
The qualification is issued by the Province, which checks that you meet the legal requirements. Qualification requires taking a test, while those meeting the requirements of Law 40/2007 must only have the required diploma.
Calls for the submission of qualification requests are published in the BURL - the Official Bulletin of the Lombardy Region, in addition to on this site.
After the test, the Province gives the Lombardy Region a list of those who have passed, which is published in the BURL, and issues a certificate (to exercise the profession of Technical Director for Travel and Tourism Agencies) and a personal identification card (to exercise the profession of Guide and Tour Leader).
Beginning with tests administered in 2007-2008, the Province of Milan reformed the test procedure in collaboration with the IULM University Foundation and the company Didael to make the qualification procedure faster and more transparent.
When all the examinations have been concluded, the Province sends the Lombardy Region the list of successful candidates, which is published in the national registers, and issues the professional competence licences.
