Visconteo Castle of Turbigo
The thirteenth century castle is a part, along with that of Legnano, of the Visconti background. The structure which has a square floor plan is built from river pebbles, squares of stone and bricks. Constructed on an alluvial hill, it dominates Ticino and the suburb beneath, offering a truly striking view. It is surrounded by a vast park.
