Castelet of Longhignana
It's the second most important monument of Peschiera Borromeo, but little remains of its original splendour which has eroded due to time and negligence. The frescoes that once covered the walls, have been destroyed and covered with plastering.
In the last few years, with the Superintendence of Cultural Goods, the new owners restored the complex, once again exposing a few of the court's decorations.
The ancient castle is today the Trattoria dei cacciatori.
In front of the manor house, the farmstead of Longhignana has also been restored.
Notes
It can only be viewed from the outside.
