Una grande Provincia, tanti luoghi da vivere

An itinerary which unwinds in the south west of the province, in the great green area between the Navigli and the Ticino.

Abbiategrasso, the largest town in the south-west area of Milan, most important for its history, monuments, and attractions, is at the crossroads between Naviglio Grande, which receives its waters from the Ticino, taking them towards Milan, and the Naviglio di Bereguardo, which branches of at Abbiategrasso towards Pavia.

Itinerari

  • Abbiategrasso and the Morimondo Abbey

In the province of Milan near Novara and Bergamo it is obvious in the congested metropolitan areas that these are the arteries of productivity. On the other hand, the south and west of the capital, around the Navigli and the Ticino, the scenario changes to a large green area. There lies an oasis a stone's throw from Milan where you can take a tour that will lead you through nature, where you may have glimpses of architectural and artistic beauty, and enjoy the local products from small towns, traditions, festivals and markets. Abbiategrasso is the largest centre in the south-west of Milan, while Morimondo is a small town that is still visited every year by many tourists whom go to see the great Abbey.
